Spherical Bearings
Spherical plain bearings consist of a spherical inner ring and an outer ring that surrounds it. The outer ring is formed onto the inner ring, thereby enclosing it in a spherical manner. To achieve low-friction sliding properties, the contact surfaces between the rings can optionally be fitted with a self-lubricating liner (PTFE). These bearings are typically used in applications that require slow rotational and swiveling movements under high loads.
